A world-class supplementary program is already taking shape eleven months before the next Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing, together with the Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology. The “best Award 2025” will launch its next competition, whose winners will be announced at the end of the first day of the event on the 21st of October, 2025. And on the second day of the fair, 22 October 2025, the “best CONGRESS” will bring together experts to discuss the use of AI in sheet metal working. At the same time, exhibitors will settle into their booth locations in the exhibition halls in Stuttgart.

Stuttgart’s exhibition halls will once again be filled with life when the 17th Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal working and the 10th Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology open their doors from the 21st through the 24th of October, 2025. Preparations are running at full throttle eleven months before the industry event. “Our proven trade fair duo continues to enjoy high spirits,” says Georg Knauer, project manager at trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “The clear-cut thematic structure covering all aspects of thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing including peripheral equipment with control and software systems, as well as handling and quality assurance solutions, brings suppliers and users together in a highly focused and efficient manner. At the same time, complementary events ensure that expert visitors can benefit from extensive technical information and new contacts,” says Knauer. Many exhibitors have already booked their booth floor space again. At the last Blechexpo/Schweisstec in the fall of 2023, 1256 exhibitors from 38 countries celebrated an inspiring trade fair in nine fully booked halls for four days with a world-class, jam-packed supplementary program. Expert visitors will enjoy the same experience again in 2025.

“best Award 2025” in Five Categories: a Competition of the Best

The “best Award” will start a new round in the five competition categories of sheet metal, pipe and profile processing, pressing and forming technologies, stamping technologies, cutting, joining and fastening technologies, as well as steel and metal services and surface finishing technologies. The “best of the best” compete against each other for the award and showcase outstanding innovations created by their development teams. As part of a strategic partnership with the Vogel Communications Group, the call for entries, selection of the winners by a renowned expert jury and the awards ceremony will take place on the first day of the trade fair. Participation in the “best Award 2025” competition is open exclusively to exhibitors at Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025, who can submit their entries here as of immediately: https://www.maschinenmarkt-awards.de/best-award-en

The “best CONGRESS” – an Outstanding Platform for the Exchange of Knowledge

The industry can look forward to another programme highlight at Blechexpo/Schweisstec in Stuttgart on the 22nd of October, 2025: the “best CONGRESS” with Stahl-Kommunikation (www.stahl-kommunikation.de). Within the framework of the trade fair, the congress brings together internationally recognised experts to discuss the topic of “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Sheet Metal Working and Joining Technologies”. The congress provides participants with the opportunity of getting acquainted with pioneering AI technology applications and their potential in manufacturing, exchanging best practices and preparing for future industry challenges in a practical way. All those who would like to actively participate in the congress by contributing their expertise in the field of artificial intelligence in steel processing are cordially invited to do so. A specialised expert audience, company networks and the media impact of the international Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo will maximise the potential of the topics covered by the congress presentations. With a highly practical approach, the “best CONGRESS” 2025 aims to shed light on the topic of AI in sheet metal working from a business perspective.

Meeting of the Experts in Sheet Metal Working and Joining Technology

Key players from the industry sector from all over the world get together at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. The clear-cut layout of the exhibition halls provides a concise overview and an efficient trade fair visit. Sheet metal, pipe and profile processing will be located in halls 1, 3, 5 and 7. Halls 4 and 6 are reserved for stamping technologies. Cutting, joining and fastening technologies will be presented in hall 9. Hall 8 will focus on pressing and forming technologies. Finally, the topics of steel and metal services, as well as surface finishing technology, will be addressed in hall 10. With high levels of internationality amounting to roughly 45%, “Best Players” from around the word meet in Stuttgart. What’s exhibited and discussed here has global impact.
