Blechexpo 2019: Highlights of sheet metal processing and joining technology
With first-class process expertise in all aspects of processing sheet metal, tubes and profiles, the 14th Blechexpo together with the 7th Schweisstec welcomes its exhibitors and trade visitors to Stuttgart from November 5 to 8, 2019. The two complementary industry events provide trade visitors with a comprehensive range of products and services covering all aspects of thermal and mechanical processing as well as welding, joining and joining technology.
Area, exhibitors, internationality: new dimensions in sight
The trade show Blechexpo / Schweisstec takes place every two years. Already some five months before the start of the trade fair, trade fair promoter P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG with project manager for Blechexpo and Schweisstec, Georg Knauer, has recorded more exhibitors on more square meters, as well as higher internationality than two years ago. The increase of a good 150 main exhibitors and 20% more hall space than in the corresponding period in 2017 has already been set – it is becoming apparent that the results from the record year 2017 will probably be topped. A total of around 1500 exhibitors will dominate the trade fair events surrounding Blechexpo / Schweisstec in nine halls in Stuttgart. In terms of bookings and reservations from near and far abroad, there is even a doubling compared to 2017; already a year before the fair, regarding technology companies from Italy, China, Turkey and Spain, the figures from 2017 had been overtaken. The reason for the boom is the strictly practice-oriented concept of the trade show double: Blechexpo / Schweisstec covers all relevant topics and trends around the digitalized and automated world of sheet metal and metal processing.
Sheet metal continues to dominate mechanical and plant engineering
Sheet metal as a construction material, together with pipe and profile materials, has matured into a common alternative to conventional cast iron and steel structures, as well as to plastic structures. FEM-optimized lightweight construction and modular component systems characterize the image of modern, material-, weight- and cost-saving vehicle, machine and apparatus construction. All the more reason to focus on the precise cutting, punching and forming of steel, aluminum and non-ferrous metal sheets at Blechexpo and Schweisstec.
Trade visitors will be provided with solutions and systems for all aspects of pre-machining and finishing, assembly completion, and the surface finish of sensitive components. The topics of lightweight construction, design solutions, handling, quality assurance, automation and digitization in sheet metal processing and joining technology will also be covered comprehensively.
Exchange and knowledge transfer: Stahlnews experts’ meeting on the first day of the fair
For an intensive exchange of ideas and knowledge transfer, stahlnews.de GmbH & Co. KG is organizing together with the trade fair organizer on the evening of the first day of the trade fair at the November 5, 2019 the 4th Steel News Experts Meeting.
