Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2021: “Very well underway!”
From October 26 to 29, 2021, the 15th Blechexpo – International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Working – will be held together with the 8th Schweisstec – International Trade Fair for Joining Technology. Once again, the proven trade fair duo will attract experts from all over the world to Stuttgart with a comprehensive range of products and services for the thermal and mechanical processing of sheet metal, tubes and profiles as well as welding, joining and connection technology.
For years, the complementary trade fair duo Blechexpo/Schweisstec has proven its outstanding and unique process competence. It is regarded as a recognized technology and knowledge platform when it comes to the processing of sheet metal, tubes and profiles, their thermal and mechanical treatment and processing, processing machines, equipment for punching, bending, folding and forming through to peripherals with controls and software as well as solutions for handling and quality assurance. The esteem in which this industry highlight, which takes place every two years, is held was demonstrated by the 2019 trade show double, which broke records: 1,498 exhibitors from 36 countries were present. 41,152 visitors from a total of 113 countries came to Stuttgart to find out about innovations in sheet metal working, cutting and joining technologies, forming technology and welding technology. Nine full halls, a foreign share of 45 percent and, with 108,000 square meters, the highest stand area ever sold – project manager Georg Knauer was just as satisfied as the exhibitors. For them, Blechexpo/Schweisstec is and remains a leading trade fair with high significance.
“Be Part of the Best” – Bookings for 2021 “pick up”
“We are again very well on track for 2021,” explains the project manager. “Internationally, bookings are also picking up again,” confirms Georg Knauer. Some booth sizes in halls one and three have been expanded, and enlargements extend into hall five. Focused topics and supporting events will be worked out and concretized by the project team of the trade fair organizer P. E. SCHALL GmbH & Co. KG by October 2021. This time, too, the guiding principle will be a strictly practice-oriented trade show concept.
Digital transformation is on track
Sheet metal handling and processing is central to any manufacturing industry. In many production plants, the product creation process begins with coil handling and the subsequent work steps of punching, bending, pressing, and folding, which are increasingly automated. The end-to-end digitalized world of sheet metal and metal processing will therefore be one of the focused topics at Blechexpo/Schweisstec. Attention is also once again being focused on modern cutting technologies, such as high-pressure waterjet cutting. The trade show double deals with technology developments in the course of a rapidly changing production world – for example, modern joining and bonding technology is gaining increasing importance because many new materials and hybrid materials cannot be joined or separated thermally, but require mechanical joining technologies.
The cutting-edge range of products and services at Blechexpo/Schweisstec opens up new approaches and comprehensive real-world solutions for users for all relevant problems in sheet metal working and processing. Trade visitors benefit from practical, process-oriented and time-saving synergy effects of the trade fair duo.
